Common Symptoms and Causes

Recent car accident? Whiplash? Gradual onset of pain radiating down the arms? Neck pain can result from traumatic or atraumatic events and sometimes the symptoms are similar: headache, neck stiffness, balance issues, or muscle spasms to name a few. Regardless of your situation, we have you covered!

Stretches for Knee Pain

Here are some of our introductory neck pain exercises:

1 & 2 – Upper Trap and Levator Scapulae Stretch – this allows for better flexibility in these muscles, which allows more efficient and fluid neck movement as well as keeping the neck and cervical spine relaxed and upright.

3. Chin Tucks – these are great for improving neck posture and strengthening the deep neck flexors and lower neck extensors, in addition to stretching the muscles under the back of your skull.
4. Lying Down (Supine) Chin Tuck Holds – these are a more advanced way to perform chin tucks because gravity is now fighting against you. Perform these once you’ve mastered doing a proper chin tuck!
5. Thread the Needle – this exercise is meant to improve posture and mobility of your mid-back (thoracic) spine, which then allows for better movement of the shoulder and neck. With better mobility, it can decrease and prevent neck pain.At No Limit Physical Therapy, we help you learn physical therapy exercises for neck pain that will give you long-term pain relief.
